For a few weeks, we have been receiving calls at the office from people who have been scammed on the phone by someone assuming my identity. The victims get called by someone informing them that someone close to them has been involved in an accident and that a lawyer will call them about it. Then, a person claiming to be me calls and requests a payment to defend that person. If you have received such a call, please notify the police immediately.
